All production is carried out through ethical manufacturing practices, with fair working conditions and careful attention to employee wellbeing. By maintaining in-house production, we are able to closely monitor quality, working standards, and the treatment of our workforce at every stage of the process.
Sustainability is also an integral part of our responsibility. We actively minimise waste through mindful production and creative reuse of materials. As part of our zero-waste initiative, we transform leftover fabric into reusable tote bags, reducing textile waste while promoting sustainable alternatives.

Production & Craftsmanship
Every piece at Shay Int. is proudly made in Sri Lanka, with a workforce that is 90% women, of which around 20% work from home. Supporting and empowering women has always been at the heart of the brand, with the goal of helping them thrive and grow alongside the label.
From cutting and stitching to quality control, the entire production process is carried out in-house, ensuring meticulous attention to detail at every step. All fabrics are exclusively designed and manufactured for Shay Int., sourced from South Korea, China, and India, before being transformed into timeless pieces for our customers.
